Misao Yajima Kakiotoshi Teapot (Tall w/red lid top) (矢島操） notebook cool to the touchDiameter: 9 cm; height: 12 cm (from lid top) Each ceramic piece by Misao Yajima is handmade and hand painted, thus there will be subtle difference in each plate. The same story is painted a little bit differently for two vessels with the same pattern. Misao Yajima uses various techniques such as overglaze painting and scarping to create her works. "It is the change of the four seasons and what I felt at that moment give the pattern of the works."
