While you could technically take a supplement containing NAD+ as the primary ingredient, research suggests that its bioavailability isnt nearly as good as two of its precursors: nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN).46 Besides NAD+, NR is also a precursor to NMN.47 And since NMN is closer to becoming NAD+ than NR is, some people feel that its the better option, but either one should be effective.48 If youre interested in these supplements, it could be worth trying one of each type (NR or NMN) to see which works better for you
